The Answer to Facebook’s Universal “Like” Button: OpenDislike
Last week, Facebook unveiled its universal “like” button, furthering its goal of world domination in the process. Thus, it was inevitable that someone, somewhere would develop the universal “dislike” button.
OpenDislike.org, which is powered by German identity manager yiid.com, is really more proof of concept than something that is ever likely to be largely used or integrated, however.
OpenDislike is the most recent example of tools that aim to fill the void of an official ability to “dislike” content or comments on Facebook. Last fall, we reported on the Facebook Dislike Firefox plugin and before that the Thradsy dashboard, but OpenDislike is interesting because it mimics the implementation and functionality of Facebook’s official like buttons.
Meetings Are a Matter of Precious Time
The main reason we don’t make meetings more productive is that we don’t value our time properly. The people who call meetings and those who attend them are not thinking about time as their most valuable resource.
Agreed. I also hate that they chop up the day into smaller pieces. Instead of sitting down and working, I think “Only 30 minutes till the next meeting”, so I end up doing random semi-useful stuff for half an hour.
I absolutely second that. Weekly status meeetings, daily update meetings, meeting schedule meetings… the more people the less prepared people the less input the less gain.

It started once again and I seriously still have no clue why so many people reblog that one old wallpaper. And why do I still have no clue why so many people reblog that one old wallpaper?

Digg - War games fanatic Matthew Pyke killed by gamer from Germany
The question is: Does the police _believe_ or _know_ that war games were the reason for this horrible incident? I haven’t seen / read anything in the German media about it yet, but I suppose that the opinion leaders in German politics will use this this case as precedence for the perilousness of online games yet again. No matter whether it’s really true.

Why is now all of a sudden everyone reblogging this wallpaper I posted a long time ago? No comments, no hints, no reasons why, but a long list of rebloggers in my dashboard. Is this what they call the “lemming effect”?
